Miniature and Toy Poodle Puppies for Sale in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania produces more Poodle and Poodle-cross puppies than almost any state, and the great majority of them come out of Lancaster County kennel barns where nobody tested the parents' eyes or knees. HonestPet is the other kind: vetted breeders who raise Miniature and Toy Poodle litters in their homes and share the parents' testing before you reserve. Every puppy arrives vet-checked, microchipped, and groomed, with free ground delivery anywhere in Pennsylvania.

THE HONESTPET DIFFERENCE

Why Pennsylvania Families Choose HonestPet for a Poodle

Buying a puppy online takes trust. Here's what you can count on when you work with us.

Raised in Breeders' Homes

In a state with hundreds of commercial kennels, where a Poodle spends its first eight weeks is the whole story. Our breeders raise their litters in the house, where a puppy that learns everything learns the dishwasher, the doorbell, and the kids, so it walks into a Rittenhouse condo, a Wayne colonial, or a Squirrel Hill rowhome already on a routine. A barn-raised Poodle has to learn all of that from you, and some never do.

Handled From Day Three

Our breeders begin Early Neurological Stimulation when puppies are three days old and follow Puppy Culture practices until they’re ready to join their new families. Short, gentle daily handling helps puppies become more comfortable with new experiences as they grow.

Parent Health Records

Review the testing status listed for each puppy's mom and dad, and ask our team for available eye, knee, hip, and genetic screening records. Testing varies by parent; knowing what is documented helps you make an informed choice.

Honest Puppy Matching

We'll help you pick the size before the puppy. A Toy at 4 to 6 pounds is the dog for a Center City one-bedroom or a couple in Hershey; a Miniature at 10 to 15 pounds is the dog for a Chester County family whose kids want a playmate that can take a tumble. Then we'll point you to the puppy in that litter with the temperament for your house, even if it isn't the one you've picked a name for.

A Guarantee in Writing

Every puppy comes with a 10-year genetic health guarantee and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Support for Life

Message our Care360 Team at 10 weeks or 10 years. We stay in touch with our families for the life of the dog.

STATEWIDE DELIVERY

Miniature and Toy Poodle Puppies Delivered Anywhere in Pennsylvania

Every HonestPet Poodle, Miniature or Toy, is raised in a vetted breeder's home, and the kennels and brokers that move Pennsylvania's volume puppies have nothing to do with it. Pennsylvania families choose free ground delivery to the door or a flight nanny who carries the puppy in the cabin into one of seven Pennsylvania airports; both sizes fit the under-seat carrier with room to spare, and the puppy arrives brushed, with its first groom done.

ABOUT THE BREED

Why Miniature and Toy Poodles Fit Pennsylvania, Rowhome to Farmhouse

A Poodle is the same dog in either size, curly, quick, low-shedding, and attached to its person, and Pennsylvania's four real seasons suit it well. A Toy, under 10 inches and 4 to 6 pounds, is the dog for a Center City rowhome, a Main Line empty-nester, and a carrier on SEPTA; a Miniature, 10 to 15 inches and 10 to 15 pounds, is the dog for a Bucks County family with kids, a yard, and a Pocono weekend. Both need a groomer every four to six weeks, both housetrain in days, and both will announce the mail carrier until taught not to, which, being Poodles, takes about a week.

Apartment-Friendly Size

Our Toys mature at 4 to 6 pounds, our Miniatures at 10 to 15. Both clear the pet limits in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh buildings, both fit the carrier SEPTA requires, and a Toy fits in a bag up the stairs of a trinity. In a Pittsburgh or Erie January, a Toy wants a sweater and short walks; a Miniature mostly just wants its paws wiped.

Low-Shedding Coat

Poodles have curly, low-shedding coats that need regular brushing and professional grooming. No dog is completely hypoallergenic; families with allergies should spend time around Poodles before deciding.

Choose the Size for Your Family

Miniatures can be a better match for families with children, while a tiny Toy needs especially gentle handling. Supervise every interaction, teach children to let the puppy rest, and choose temperament as carefully as size.

Quick to Train

Miniature and Toy Poodles respond well to short, positive training sessions. Practice house training, calm greetings, and quiet hallway behavior consistently, and add puzzle games to keep their quick minds occupied.

Exercise to Match Their Size

A Miniature Poodle wants a real walk and a game of fetch every day, and it will happily do the Wissahickon or a Laurel Highlands trail on a weekend. A Toy is content with two short walks and a game on the rug. Both swim, so a Pocono lake is a feature, though a Toy wears a vest in a current. Two Pennsylvania rules: Lyme is heavy from the Main Line to the Poconos and a curly coat hides ticks, so check the dog after every walk in grass, and a Toy stays on leash in the suburbs, where hawks and the occasional coyote take dogs that size.

Made for Company

Both sizes enjoy being close to their people. Build up alone time gradually, provide enrichment, and arrange a dog walker or sitter when your schedule keeps you away for long stretches.

GETTING YOUR PUPPY HOME

Three Ways to Get Your Poodle Home

Most Pennsylvania families take free ground delivery to the door, with the puppy brushed, fed on schedule, and handed over with the breeder's grooming notes. If you'd rather fly, a flight nanny carries your Poodle in the cabin to one of seven Pennsylvania airports, and a Toy or a Miniature is so far under the airline limit that the carrier is the easy part. Either way, we settle the date together and send updates until the puppy is on your lap.

Most Popular

Ground Transport

Ground delivery is the gentlest trip for a Poodle puppy, and for a Toy it's the one we recommend: an even temperature the whole way, water and a small meal every few hours because a tiny puppy's blood sugar drops faster than a bigger dog's, and a handoff at your door rather than a curb at PHL.

Pick Up at the Breeder

Want to meet your puppy first? If the breeder's location and schedule allow it, HonestPet can set up a visit, which is also your chance to see the parents' coats and ask what size the litter should finish at.

Flight Nanny

A flat $799 to any Pennsylvania airport we serve. The puppy rides in a soft carrier at the nanny's feet, never in the hold, and because either size is a fraction of the in-cabin limit, a Poodle is the easiest passenger we have. A Toy puppy is fed on schedule through the flight, and the nanny meets you at arrivals and puts the dog in your arms.

Not sure which option fits? Send us a message and we'll help you sort it out.

HEALTH FIRST

Miniature and Toy Poodle Health Screening

Miniature and Toy Poodles have breed-specific health considerations. Ask to review available screening results for your puppy's parents, including eye, knee, and hip evaluations where appropriate. Testing varies by parent, and no screening or genetic test can guarantee a puppy will never develop a health problem.

Parents

Eye Evaluations

Ask for available eye examination records for both parents. An eye exam can identify some inherited or developing eye problems, but a normal result is not a lifetime guarantee of healthy vision.

Parents

Knee Evaluations

Luxating patellas can affect small Poodles. Ask about available parental knee evaluations and discuss the results with your veterinarian; screening helps assess risk without ruling out every future knee problem.

Parents

Hip Evaluations

Hip health is an important discussion, especially for Miniature Poodles. Ask which evaluations are appropriate for the parents and whether results are available to review with your veterinarian.

Parents

Progressive Retinal Atrophy

Some forms of progressive retinal atrophy can affect Miniature and Toy Poodles. Where relevant genetic results are available, ask which variant was tested and how the parents were paired. A genetic panel does not replace clinical eye exams.

Parents

von Willebrand Disease

This inherited bleeding disorder can occur in Poodles. Ask whether relevant parental genetic testing is available and share any results with your vet when planning surgery or other procedures.

Parents

Records and Size-Specific Care

Review the health history and documented adult size of both parents. Discuss dental care, feeding needs, and any family history of health concerns with the breeder and your vet, especially when considering a very small Toy puppy.

Puppies

Vet Exam

Before a Poodle leaves for Pennsylvania, a licensed vet gives it a full exam built around the breed's known issues: the knees, since luxating patellas are the most common orthopedic problem in both sizes, the eyes, the bite and baby teeth, which crowd in a Toy's small jaw, the heart, and in a Toy, the trachea. The vet issues the health certificate required for travel, and the exam goes into the puppy's digital records, which also supports your rights under Pennsylvania's Dog Purchaser Protection Act.

Puppies

Shots, Deworming, Microchip

Core shots are complete for the puppy's age, and the deworming log goes back to the first weeks. Your Pennsylvania vet finishes the series, including the rabies shot state law requires beginning at 3 months, starts tick prevention immediately given the Lyme rate, and should talk with you about a harness instead of a collar, especially for a Toy, and a grooming schedule from the first month, because a Poodle that learns the groomer early is a calm adult on the table. A microchip is in place before travel, and transferring it to your name is part of the handoff.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Miniature and Toy Poodle Puppy FAQs

Prices vary by puppy, size, and other individual characteristics. Check the current price on each available listing and ask our team what is included before reserving. Free ground delivery to Pennsylvania is available as described on this page.

Yes, in both sizes. Free ground delivery to the door is the most common choice, and the one we suggest for a Toy puppy. Flight nanny delivery is also available into Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, State College, and Erie, depending on route and availability, with the puppy in the cabin beside the nanny; a Miniature or Toy Poodle is well under every airline's in-cabin limit.

No dog is completely hypoallergenic. Poodles have low-shedding coats, but allergens are also found in saliva and skin flakes. Spend time around Poodles before choosing a puppy if allergies are a concern, and plan on regular brushing and grooming.

Our Toy Poodles typically finish at 4 to 6 pounds and our Miniatures at 10 to 15 pounds. Adult size varies by puppy; review the listing's estimated adult weight and ask about both parents before making your choice.

Your puppy comes home with a starter bag of food, a blanket that smells like their littermates, a toy, microchip details, and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Choose an available puppy and send us an inquiry. Our team can help you review the puppy, meet by video, and confirm the reservation deposit, total price, and payment schedule before you proceed.

Ask our team for available parent eye, knee, hip, and genetic screening results; testing varies by parent. Each puppy's veterinary, vaccine, deworming, and microchip records help your Pennsylvania vet plan ongoing care. Screening cannot eliminate every inherited or future health risk.

Each breeder may have a different preferred puppy food, so we provide the specific brand and formula your puppy is currently eating to help make the transition to your home as smooth as possible. If you decide to switch foods, we recommend transitioning gradually to help avoid digestive upset.

Our puppies go home at 8 weeks old.

THE JOURNEY HOME

How Poodle Delivery to Pennsylvania Works

Free ground delivery to the door is how most of our Pennsylvania Poodles arrive, and for a Toy it's the gentlest option. If you'd prefer to fly, a flight nanny carries the puppy in the cabin to one of seven Pennsylvania airports, with a Toy's feeding schedule kept through the flight.

What ground delivery looks like

  1. We set the date together.Once the vet clears your puppy to travel, we schedule a delivery day and give you an arrival window.
  2. Your puppy rides with a trained handler. They travel in their own crate in a climate-controlled vehicle, with regular stops for water, food, and potty breaks.
  3. We keep you posted. Our delivery team sends updates along the way and lets you know when your puppy is getting close.
  4. We bring your puppy to your door. The handler carries the puppy to your door with the starter bag, a brush, and the breeder's notes on the coat, and talks you through the first-week feeding routine, which a Toy depends on more than any other puppy we deliver. In a Center City building they'll meet you in the lobby, and in a rowhome they'll carry the puppy up the steps.
  5. Help them settle in.Have a crate, a few puppy pads, water, and their food ready so your puppy can rest after the trip.

PENNSYLVANIA QUESTIONS

Getting a Miniature or Toy Poodle in Pennsylvania: Your Questions Answered

Which size to choose, the kennel question, ticks, county licenses, and how delivery works: the questions Pennsylvania Poodle families ask most.

It depends where you live. Pennsylvania has no statewide ban, but Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Allentown each prohibit pet stores from selling commercially bred dogs, and Poodles and Poodle crosses are the puppies most often trucked out of the state's large Lancaster County kennels to stores elsewhere. What a store can't show you is the mother, the home, or the parents' eye and knee testing. HonestPet is not a pet store. We connect Pennsylvania families directly with vetted breeders who raise Miniature and Toy Poodles at home and share all of that before you reserve.

Match the size to the household. A Toy, at 4 to 6 pounds, is the better fit for a rowhome, a SEPTA commute with the dog in a carrier, an empty-nester, and a home without small children, since a toddler can hurt a Toy by accident. A Miniature, at 10 to 15 pounds, is the better fit for a family with kids, a yard, and Pocono weekends. Both housetrain fast, both need a groomer every four to six weeks, both need tick checks after every walk in grass, and a Toy wears a sweater in a Pennsylvania January.

Yes. Pennsylvania licenses every dog from 3 months on, annually, through the county treasurer, or through the city for Philadelphia residents. It costs very little and the fine for skipping it doesn't. You'll also need a current rabies vaccine, which state law requires beginning at 3 months, and the fee is the same for a five-pound Toy and a fifteen-pound Mini.

Once you reserve your Poodle, HonestPet coordinates the trip from the breeder's home to your door in Pennsylvania. Before departure the puppy gets a final vet check, a brush-out, and a meal; then it rides in a climate-controlled vehicle with feeding stops on the clock, or in the cabin with a flight nanny. You get the schedule in advance and hear from us at every stage.

A flight into Pennsylvania is 1 to 2 hours, depending on where the breeder is and which airport you pick. Your Poodle stays in a carrier at the nanny's feet in the cabin the whole way, never as cargo, and a Toy puppy gets a small meal before boarding and after landing to keep its blood sugar steady. For much of the state, ground delivery is just as quick door to door.

Sometimes. Where the breeder's location and calendar make it possible, HonestPet can arrange a visit so you meet the puppy and the parents and see the size the adults finished at. Our breeders are in different places and we keep their addresses private, so visits are set up one family at a time rather than offered as drop-in hours.
