We didn't set out to build a company.
We set out to find a best friend.
When we dreamed of bringing a puppy into our lives, we pictured joy, laughter, and love. But instead of magic, the process was overwhelming.
It felt cold, confusing, and full of risk.
We spoke with people we couldn't trust.
We browsed websites that felt fake.
We sent messages into the void, hoping someone honest would respond.
And we were scared.
Scared of being scammed.
Scared of choosing the wrong breeder.
Scared that the puppy meant for us might slip away because we didn't know where to turn.
At one point, we almost gave up—thinking maybe this dream wasn't meant for us. But deep down, we believed something better was possible.
So we made a decision.
If we couldn't find a place where finding a puppy felt safe, warm, and real—we would build one.
A promise that no family would have to go through what we did.
A promise that finding your puppy would feel the way it should: trustworthy, joyful, and full of heart.

Dr. Kelly Hood
Her Journey
Dr. Kelly Hood started her professional career in the music industry as a journalist and classical musician in Nashville before switching gears to veterinary medicine.
She started working in a kennel of small animal hospital and over time worked her way through various aspects of the field including general practice, shelter and emergency medicine before gaining acceptance to the Veterinary College at North Carolina State University.
While in vet school she was an active member of Christian Veterinary Missions and went on five trips to the Cherokee and Navajo reservations and also volunteered with the ASPCA deploying three times with the medical team to care for animals following hoarding and dog-fighting raids.
Since graduation she works primarily with companion animals and after hours urgent care. In her downtime she enjoys reading, music, hiking, and sewing.
