THE HONESTPET DIFFERENCE

Why Georgia Families Pick HonestPet for a French Bulldog

Buying a puppy online takes trust. Here's what you can count on when you work with us.

Raised in Breeders' Homes

A Frenchie raised in somebody's kitchen, underfoot while dinner gets made, arrives in Georgia already comfortable with people, noise, and a lap. That's what our breeders' homes look like. Kennel-raised Frenchies spend their first weeks in a building; ours spend them in a family, which shows the first night in your Midtown condo or your Alpharetta cul-de-sac.

Handled From Day Three

Our breeders begin Early Neurological Stimulation when puppies are three days old and follow Puppy Culture practices until they’re ready to join their new families. Short, gentle daily handling helps puppies become more comfortable with new experiences as they grow.

Parent Health Records

Each puppy’s listing identifies the DNA testing status of both mom and dad. Ask to review available parent health records, including any breathing, spine, hip, and knee assessments; screening coverage varies by parent.

Honest Puppy Matching

We'll tell you which puppy breathes the easiest, which in a Georgia August is the single most useful thing we can tell you, and which has the temperament for your house. A calmer pup for a couple in a Decatur bungalow, a bolder one for a Marietta family with three kids and a trampoline.

A Guarantee in Writing

Every puppy comes with a 10-year genetic health guarantee and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Support for Life

Message our Care360 Team at 10 weeks or 10 years. We stay in touch with our families for the life of the dog.

STATEWIDE DELIVERY

French Bulldog Puppies Delivered Anywhere in Georgia

Our French Bulldogs are born and raised in the homes of breeders we've vetted; pet stores and brokers play no part. Georgia families choose between free ground delivery to the door and a flight nanny who carries the puppy in the cabin into Hartsfield-Jackson or a regional airport. Cargo is never an option for this breed, and from late May through September our handlers schedule Georgia handoffs for early morning.

ABOUT THE BREED

Why French Bulldogs Fit Georgia Life, From Midtown to the Mountains

A French Bulldog is a small, muscular clown with bat ears and a face full of folds, and it was built for apartment life: quiet, low-exercise, happiest on a couch. Georgia suits the breed nine months of the year. The other three, a Frenchie's flat face can't shed heat fast enough for a Georgia afternoon, and the humidity that hangs over Atlanta from June to September makes panting nearly useless. Air conditioning isn't a luxury for a Georgia Frenchie; it's equipment.

Apartment-Friendly Size

Full grown, our French Bulldogs land between 20 and 28 pounds. That satisfies the pet limits in most Midtown and Buckhead high-rises, fits the under-seat carrier MARTA requires, and is a comfortable weight to carry across a hot parking lot, which from June on you'll do rather than let the puppy's paws touch the asphalt.

Short, Smooth Coat

French Bulldogs have short, smooth coats and do shed. Regular brushing helps manage loose hair, and their skin folds need gentle cleaning and drying. They are not a hypoallergenic breed.

Playful Family Companions

Frenchies are playful and affectionate. Supervise interactions with children, teach gentle handling, and give your puppy a quiet place to rest. Keep play short and cool rather than encouraging rough play or long chases.

Patient, Positive Training

A Frenchie can be clever and independent. Use short sessions, rewards, and consistent potty routines to build good habits. Our lifetime training support helps you work through puppy manners without harsh methods.

Short Walks, Cool Play

A couple of short walks and some hallway fetch is a full day for a Frenchie. In a Georgia summer, walk at dawn and after sunset, skip the BeltLine at noon, and come inside at the first loud pant. Spring brings its own problem: the yellow pine pollen that coats every car in Atlanta gets into a Frenchie's nose folds and eyes, so wipe the face daily from March through May. And if you have a dock on Lanier or Allatoona, a life vest goes on before the puppy does, because French Bulldogs cannot swim.

Made for Company

French Bulldogs enjoy being near their people. Build up time alone gradually, and arrange company and potty breaks when you will be away for long stretches. An air-conditioned home and a predictable routine help them stay comfortable.

GETTING YOUR PUPPY HOME

Three Ways to Get Your French Bulldog Home

Ground delivery to your door is free and is how most Georgia Frenchies arrive, with the puppy in a cooled vehicle the entire drive. Families who prefer to fly use our flight nanny, who carries the puppy in the cabin to one of five Georgia airports; cargo is not an option for a French Bulldog, and we wouldn't use it if it were. Whichever you choose, we pin down the date together and keep updates coming until the puppy is on your rug.

Most Popular

Ground Transport

Ground delivery is the trip we recommend for a Frenchie. Our Georgia routes run in a climate-controlled van with a shaded, ventilated crate, short stops, and a handoff scheduled before the heat builds. For most of the state it's a same-day drive, and the puppy wakes up in your driveway rather than at an airport.

Pick Up at the Breeder

Hoping to visit before you commit? If the breeder's location and calendar allow it, HonestPet can set up an in-person meeting so you can see your puppy and the parents before the trip to Georgia.

Flight Nanny

A flat $799 to any Georgia airport we serve. The nanny carries your Frenchie in a ventilated soft carrier at their feet in the cabin, the only way a flat-faced breed flies, and meets you at arrivals with the puppy in hand. Flying into Hartsfield-Jackson also means a nonstop from almost anywhere, which keeps a brachycephalic puppy's time in transit short.

HEALTH FIRST

French Bulldog Health and Parent Screening

French Bulldogs need particular attention to breathing, heat tolerance, and spine and joint health. Parent screening and available records vary by dog; ask to review the findings for the parents of the puppy you are considering. A DNA test or veterinary exam is not a guarantee against future breathing or mobility problems, and your vet can help plan ongoing care.

Parents & puppies

Airway and Breathing

Flat-faced dogs can have narrowed nostrils and other airway problems. Ask what breathing assessments are available for the parents, and discuss your puppy's breathing with your vet. Snoring and poor exercise tolerance deserve attention rather than being dismissed as normal.

Parents & puppies

Spine and Back Health

Ask about the parents' spine-health history and any available veterinary findings. French Bulldogs can develop spinal problems; keeping them lean and using ramps instead of repeated jumps can help with daily care, but does not eliminate the risk.

Parents & puppies

Hips and Knees

Review any available hip and knee assessments for the parents with our team. Your vet can check your puppy's gait and joints and advise on suitable exercise. Do not assume every parent has had the same examinations.

Parents & puppies

Eye Health

Ask which parent eye examinations or genetic results are available. Frenchies' prominent eyes need care; contact your vet about redness, squinting, or discharge, and protect the eyes during play.

Puppies

Skin Folds and Care

Discuss skin-fold cleaning and any signs of irritation with your vet. Keep folds clean and dry, watch for itching or redness, and ask for guidance before using skin products. Short coats still need regular brushing.

Parents

Parent Health Records

Each puppy’s listing identifies the DNA testing status of both mom and dad. Ask to review available parent health and genetic records before reserving. Genetic results do not replace a clinical assessment of breathing, spine, or joint health.

Puppies

Vet Exam

Before a Frenchie leaves for Georgia, a licensed vet does a complete exam with the breed's trouble spots front and center: nostril openings, breathing at rest and after a few minutes of play, spine alignment, hips and knees, and the skin folds on the face and tail. The vet issues the certificate of veterinary inspection Georgia requires for dogs entering the state, and the exam notes go into the puppy's digital records for your vet in Atlanta or wherever you are.

Puppies

Shots, Deworming, Microchip

Every core vaccine due for the puppy's age has been given, and deworming has run on a routine from the early weeks onward. Your Georgia vet finishes the series, including the rabies shot state law requires by 3 months, and should start heartworm and flea prevention immediately, since Georgia's season for both runs nearly year-round. Ask them about Frenchie fold care in a humid climate and about keeping weight down, because every extra pound makes a short airway work harder. The puppy is chipped before departure, and registering the chip to you is something we handle together.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

French Bulldog Puppy FAQs

Prices vary by puppy. See each available puppy’s listing for the current price, and ask our team to explain the total before reserving. Every puppy comes with a vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, digital records, lifetime training and support, and free ground delivery to your home.

Yes. Nearly every Georgia family takes free ground delivery to the door, which keeps a flat-faced puppy in air conditioning from the breeder's home to yours. Flight nanny delivery into Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Savannah/Hilton Head, Augusta, Columbus, and Albany is also available, subject to route and availability, with the puppy in the cabin beside the nanny; airlines don't allow French Bulldogs in cargo and neither do we.

Yes. French Bulldogs have short, smooth coats that shed, and they are not hypoallergenic. Regular brushing helps manage loose hair. If allergies are a concern, discuss the individual puppy with our team before deciding.

Our French Bulldogs typically finish between 20 and 28 pounds. Review the individual puppy’s estimated adult size and parent information with our team, and check your building's pet policy before reserving.

Your puppy comes home with a starter bag of food, a blanket that smells like their littermates, a toy, microchip details, and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Pick an available puppy then send us an inquiry. After we talk, review the current reservation amount for your puppy before placing your deposit. The deposit goes toward the total price, and the balance is due before go-home day.

Parent testing varies by breeder and by dog. Review the available DNA testing status and health records for the puppy’s mom and dad with our team, including any breathing, spine, hip, and knee assessments. Every puppy receives a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a microchip before going home. Your vet can help plan ongoing French Bulldog care; screening does not guarantee freedom from future health problems.

Each breeder may have a different preferred puppy food, so we provide the specific brand and formula your puppy is currently eating to help make the transition to your home as smooth as possible. If you decide to switch foods, we recommend transitioning gradually to help avoid digestive upset.

Our puppies go home at 8 weeks old.

THE JOURNEY HOME

How Frenchie Delivery to Georgia Works

Door-to-door ground delivery, free of charge, is how the majority of our Georgia Frenchies arrive. Families who'd rather fly book the flight nanny, who brings the puppy in the cabin to one of five Georgia airports, carrier at their feet in the cooled cabin from gate to gate.

What ground delivery looks like

  1. We set the date together.Once the vet clears your puppy to travel, we schedule a delivery day and give you an arrival window.
  2. Your puppy rides with a trained handler. They travel in their own crate in a climate-controlled vehicle, with regular stops for water, food, and potty breaks.
  3. We keep you posted. Our delivery team sends updates along the way and lets you know when your puppy is getting close.
  4. We bring your puppy to your door.Your handler brings the puppy and the starter bag to your door and runs through the heat rules before leaving. In a Midtown or Buckhead tower they'll check in with the concierge ahead of time, and in summer the handoff is set for early morning, since a French Bulldog shouldn't wait in a Georgia parking lot at any hour past ten.
  5. Help them settle in.Have a crate, a few puppy pads, water, and their food ready so your puppy can rest after the trip.

GEORGIA QUESTIONS

Getting a French Bulldog in Georgia: Your Questions Answered

What Georgia Frenchie families ask us most: summer heat, pollen, condo rules, county licenses, and how the trip works.

Georgia hasn't banned retail puppy sales, so a handful of stores around Atlanta still sell French Bulldogs, and because Frenchies are the priciest puppy a commercial kennel can turn out, those stores stock them. What the store can't show you is the mother, the home, or whether anyone checked the parents' breathing or spine. HonestPet is not a pet store. We connect Georgia families directly with vetted breeders who raise Frenchies at home, share the parents' screening, and deliver to your door.

One of the best. A Frenchie almost never barks, needs little exercise, and is content in a Midtown one-bedroom as long as the AC runs. Check your building's weight cap, which most Atlanta high-rises set at 25 to 35 pounds, and plan walks around the heat from late May through September: early, short, and shaded. A Frenchie that lives in air conditioning and walks at dawn thrives in Atlanta; one left on a balcony in July is in danger within minutes.

Georgia has no state license, but the metro counties handle it themselves. Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Clayton each require annual registration backed by a current rabies certificate, and Georgia sets the rabies deadline at 3 months, earlier than most states. Your county animal services site lists the fee and renewal process; spayed and neutered dogs pay less.

After you reserve your Frenchie, HonestPet maps out the trip from the breeder's home to yours in Georgia. The puppy gets a final vet exam with its breathing checked at rest and after play, then rides in a climate-controlled delivery vehicle or in the cabin with a flight nanny, never in cargo. We give you the schedule before departure, keep summer handoffs out of the heat, and send updates at each leg.

Usually 1 to 2 hours, and almost always nonstop into Hartsfield-Jackson, which is why Georgia is an easy flight for a flat-faced puppy. Your Frenchie spends it in a ventilated carrier at the nanny's feet, in cabin air conditioning. Cargo is never used for a French Bulldog.

Sometimes, yes. Where the breeder's location and schedule make it possible, HonestPet can set up a visit so you meet the puppy and the parents and hear for yourself how the adults breathe after a romp in the yard. Our breeders are in different states and we keep their addresses private, so visits are arranged one family at a time rather than offered as open hours.
