THE HONESTPET DIFFERENCE

Why Georgia Families Choose HonestPet

Buying a puppy online takes trust. Here's what you can count on when you work with us.

Raised in Breeders' Homes

Our breeders raise their litters inside their homes, not in kennel buildings. Puppies that have grown up with doorbells, kids, and the dishwasher running settle in quickly, whether they're moving into a Midtown Atlanta high-rise, an Alpharetta subdivision, or a house with a screened porch in Macon.

Handled From Day Three

Our breeders begin Early Neurological Stimulation when puppies are three days old and follow Puppy Culture practices until they’re ready to join their new families. Short, gentle daily handling helps puppies become more comfortable with new experiences as they grow.

Health-Tested Parents

Most of our puppies’ parents are DNA tested. Each puppy’s listing identifies the DNA testing status of both mom and dad, so you can review this information before choosing your puppy.

Honest Puppy Matching

We'll point you to the puppy that fits your life, even if it isn't the one you clicked on first. A calm pup for a Buckhead condo, a more adventurous one for a Peachtree City family that goes everywhere by golf cart.

A Guarantee in Writing

Every puppy comes with a 10-year genetic health guarantee and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Support for Life

Message our Care360 Team at 10 weeks or 10 years. We stay in touch with our families for the life of the dog.

ABOUT THE BREED

Why Cavapoos Are a Smart Choice for Georgia Homes

A Cavapoo is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel crossed with a Poodle, which gives you the Cavalier's sweet, people-loving nature and the Poodle's intelligence and low-shedding coat. They handle Georgia's long, humid summers well with a little planning, and they're sized for everything from a Midtown condo to a half-acre lot in Cumming.

Apartment-Friendly Size

Most of our Cavapoos finish between 10 and 23 pounds. That's within the weight limits many Atlanta apartment communities and Georgia HOAs set, and small enough to hop into the golf cart or ride along to the Saturday farmers market.

Low-Shedding Coat

Their wavy or curly coats shed very little. No dog is fully hypoallergenic, but many people with mild allergies live comfortably with a Cavapoo.

Gentle With Kids

Cavapoos are patient and gentle, which is why so many families with young children choose them. Supervised play is still a must.

Quick to Train

Poodle smarts plus a real wish to please. Short, consistent sessions go a long way with potty training and basic manners.

Moderate Energy

Cavapoos do fine with moderate exercise. In summer, walk early and late and let them play indoors through the hottest hours; the rest of the year they'll happily join you on the BeltLine, at Piedmont Park, or on a Saturday hike up Kennesaw Mountain. During pollen season, a quick rinse after walks keeps the yellow dust out of their coat.

Made for Company

Cavapoos want to be wherever you are. They're a great fit for work-from-home schedules. If you're gone 10 hours a day, plan on a dog walker.

GETTING YOUR PUPPY HOME

Three Ways to Get Your Cavapoo Home

Most Georgia families choose free ground delivery, which brings your puppy to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle. If you'd rather fly, a flight nanny can carry your puppy in the cabin to one of five Georgia airports. Our team confirms the date with you either way and sends updates until your puppy arrives.

Most Popular

Ground Transport

Ground delivery is our preferred way to bring your Cavapoo to Georgia. Puppies ride in air-conditioned vehicles with scheduled water and potty breaks, which matters on a July afternoon on I-75. Cavapoos travel easily, and most arrive relaxed and ready for their new family.

Pick Up at the Breeder

Prefer to meet first? When the breeder's location and schedule allow, HonestPet can arrange an in-person visit so you can meet your puppy before delivery to Georgia.

Flight Nanny

A flat $799 to any Georgia airport we serve. Your puppy flies in the cabin on the nanny's lap, never in cargo, so summer heat restrictions on checked pets don't apply. The nanny meets you at arrivals and hands your puppy over.

HEALTH FIRST

Cavapoo Parent Health Screening

Cavaliers and Poodles each have known inherited health risks, which is why we’re working toward having all of our breeders complete genetic screening for the conditions most relevant to the Cavapoo breed. Testing varies by parent; ask to review available results for the parents of any puppy you’re considering.

Parents

Curly Coat / Dry Eye Syndrome

A Cavalier condition that shows up in a puppy's first weeks. Affected puppies can't make normal tears and develop a rough coat, flaky skin, and cracked, sore paw pads. It's only a risk when both parents have Cavalier ancestry, as in F2 and multigeneration Cavapoos.

Parents

Degenerative Myelopathy

A slow spinal cord disease that usually doesn't appear until later in life, often after age 8. It starts with wobbly, dragging back legs and gradually leads to hind-end weakness. It isn't painful, but there's no cure, so testing the parents is the best protection.

Parents

Episodic Falling Syndrome

Another Cavalier condition. When an affected dog gets excited, stressed, or exercises hard, its muscles stiffen and it may freeze mid-step or fall over. The dog stays fully awake through each episode. Signs usually start before the first birthday.

Parents

Neonatal Encephalopathy

A Poodle condition that affects newborns. Affected puppies are born small and weak, have trouble with balance, and often develop seizures. Because they rarely survive their first few weeks, this test is about pairing parents so no puppy is born with it.

Parents

Progressive Retinal Atrophy

One of the more common inherited conditions in Toy and Miniature Poodles. The retina slowly breaks down, starting with night blindness in adulthood and often leading to full blindness. It isn't painful and most dogs adjust well, but the vision loss can't be reversed.

Parents

von Willebrand Disease

A bleeding disorder where blood doesn't clot as well as it should. Many dogs with it live normal lives, but they can bleed longer after surgery, an injury, or losing baby teeth. Knowing the parents' results helps your vet plan ahead for spay or neuter.

Puppies

Vet Exam

Before any puppy leaves for Georgia, a licensed vet performs a full nose-to-tail exam: heart and lungs, eyes, ears, teeth, skin, and a check for hernias. The vet issues a health certificate for interstate travel, and a copy of the exam goes into the puppy's digital records for your Georgia vet.

Puppies

Shots, Deworming, Microchip

Each puppy is current on core vaccines for their age and has been dewormed on a regular schedule since their first weeks. Your vet will finish the series, including the rabies shot Georgia requires by 3 months of age. Georgia's warm climate means heartworm, fleas, and ticks are a year-round concern, so we recommend starting prevention at your first visit. Every puppy is microchipped, and we'll help you register the chip in your name.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Cavapoo Puppy FAQs

Our Cavapoo puppies are $2,500 to $6,000, depending on size, coat, and color. The price of each puppy includes vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, a vet exam, lifetime training and support, a digital copy of their records, and free ground delivery to your home.

Yes. Most families choose free ground delivery straight to their door. Flight nanny delivery is also available to major Georgia airports including Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Savannah/Hilton Head, Augusta, Columbus, and Albany, depending on route and availability.

While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, Cavapoos are known for their low-shedding coats and can be a good choice for some families with mild dog allergies. How much a Cavapoo sheds can vary based on their individual coat genetics and generation, with some puppies inheriting more of the Poodle’s low-shedding coat characteristics. If allergies or shedding are a concern, review each puppy’s generation and coat type, and talk with our team about which available Cavapoo may be the best fit for your family.

Most Cavapoos weigh 10 to 23 pounds and stand 9 to 14 inches tall as adults. Size depends mostly on the Poodle parent. We list an estimated adult weight for every puppy we have available.

Your puppy comes home with a starter bag of food, a blanket that smells like their littermates, a toy, microchip details, and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Pick an available puppy then send us an inquiry. After we talk, a $349 deposit holds your puppy. The balance is due before go-home day.

We’re working toward having every parent DNA tested and screened for relevant heart, knee, and eye conditions before breeding. Every puppy also receives a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a microchip before going home. Available parent health and genetic testing results can be viewed on our Parents page.

Each breeder may have a different preferred puppy food, so we provide the specific brand and formula your puppy is currently eating to help make the transition to your home as smooth as possible. If you decide to switch foods, we recommend transitioning gradually to help avoid digestive upset.

Our puppies go home at 8 weeks old.

GEORGIA QUESTIONS

Getting a Cavapoo in Georgia: Your Questions Answered

What Georgia families ask us most, from county licensing to summer heat and airport pickups.

Georgia has no statewide ban on pet store puppy sales, so you may still see puppies in store windows in some parts of the state. What you won't see is where they came from. HonestPet is not a pet store. We connect Georgia families directly with vetted breeders who raise puppies in their homes, show you the parents' health testing, and deliver to your door.

For most people, yes. Cavapoos are small, fairly quiet, and don't need a yard, which suits a Midtown high-rise or an Old Fourth Ward loft. Check your lease for weight limits, pet rent, and breed rules, since most Atlanta complexes have all three; a Cavapoo usually clears them easily. Plan on several walks a day, timed around the heat in summer.

Georgia doesn't issue a statewide dog license, but most metro counties do. Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Clayton all require an annual license or registration tied to a current rabies certificate, and Georgia law requires that rabies vaccine by 3 months of age. Check with your county's animal services office for fees and renewal rules.

Once you reserve your puppy, HonestPet coordinates the trip from the breeder's home to yours. Your puppy gets a final vet exam and a travel health certificate, then rides to Georgia in a climate-controlled delivery vehicle or in the cabin with a flight nanny to the airport nearest you. We confirm the schedule with you and keep you updated.

Most flights into Georgia run 1 to 2 hours, depending on where the breeder is located and which airport you choose. Your puppy stays with the flight nanny the entire time and rides in the cabin, never in cargo.

Sometimes, yes. When the breeder's location and schedule allow, HonestPet can set up an in-person visit so you can meet your puppy before delivery. Because our breeders are located in different areas and we protect their privacy, visits are arranged one family at a time rather than offered as open appointments.
