THE HONESTPET DIFFERENCE

Why Arizona Families Choose HonestPet for a French Bulldog

Buying a puppy online takes trust. Here's what you can count on when you work with us.

Raised in Breeders' Homes

Our breeders raise French Bulldogs in their homes, where the litter grows up with the TV, the vacuum, and the kids, and that upbringing shows the first evening in an Arcadia ranch house or a Tempe condo. A kennel-raised Frenchie has never been in a living room; a HonestPet Frenchie has never been anywhere else.

Handled From Day Three

Our breeders begin Early Neurological Stimulation when puppies are three days old and follow Puppy Culture practices until they’re ready to join their new families. Short, gentle daily handling helps puppies become more comfortable with new experiences as they grow.

Parent Health Records

Each puppy’s listing identifies the DNA testing status of both mom and dad. Ask to review available parent health records, including any breathing, spine, hip, and knee assessments; screening coverage varies by parent.

Honest Puppy Matching

We'll tell you which puppy breathes most freely, which in Arizona is the most important thing we can tell you about a French Bulldog, and which has the temperament for your home. A mellow pup for snowbirds in Sun City who summer in Flagstaff, a sturdier one for a Gilbert family whose kids will have it in a baby pool by June, with the vest on.

A Guarantee in Writing

Every puppy comes with a 10-year genetic health guarantee and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Support for Life

Message our Care360 Team at 10 weeks or 10 years. We stay in touch with our families for the life of the dog.

STATEWIDE DELIVERY

French Bulldog Puppies Delivered Anywhere in Arizona

A HonestPet French Bulldog comes from a breeder we've vetted who raises the litter at home, never from a store or a broker. Arizona families choose free ground delivery to the door or a flight nanny who carries the puppy in the cabin into Sky Harbor, Mesa Gateway, Tucson, or a northern airport. Flat-faced breeds can't fly cargo, so cabin is the only flight we book, and from April through October every Valley and Tucson handoff happens before sunrise or after dark.

ABOUT THE BREED

Why French Bulldogs Can Work in Arizona, Indoors and on a Schedule

A French Bulldog is 20 to 28 pounds of bat ears, wrinkles, and attitude, and it has the lowest exercise needs of almost any breed, which is exactly why it works in Arizona: it's happy to spend a 112-degree day on cool tile under a ceiling fan. The deal is non-negotiable, though. A flat-faced dog cannot cool itself in Phoenix heat, dry air or not, and the monsoon humidity of July and August takes away what little panting does. An Arizona Frenchie is an indoor dog from May to October, walked in the dark, and never, ever left in a vehicle.

Apartment-Friendly Size

Our Frenchies mature at 20 to 28 pounds. That's within the pet cap in most Scottsdale and Tempe apartment communities, fits a carrier for the trip up to Flagstaff, and is light enough to carry from the car across a parking lot in July, which in Arizona is how this breed crosses parking lots.

Short, Smooth Coat

French Bulldogs have short, smooth coats and do shed. Regular brushing helps manage loose hair, and their skin folds need gentle cleaning and drying. They are not a hypoallergenic breed.

Playful Family Companions

Frenchies are playful and affectionate. Supervise interactions with children, teach gentle handling, and give your puppy a quiet place to rest. Keep play short and cool rather than encouraging rough play or long chases.

Patient, Positive Training

A Frenchie can be clever and independent. Use short sessions, rewards, and consistent potty routines to build good habits. Our lifetime training support helps you work through puppy manners without harsh methods.

Short Walks, Cool Play

A Frenchie's whole exercise program is two short walks and some play on the floor. In the Valley from May through October, those walks happen before 6 a.m. or after 9 p.m., last ten minutes, and come with booties or a paw check, since asphalt in Phoenix hits 160 degrees by afternoon. Backyard pools are everywhere here and a French Bulldog sinks in seconds, so a pool fence or a life vest at all times is not optional. One more Arizona rule: Flagstaff and the Rim sit at 7,000 feet, and thin air plus a flat face means a slow first day and no hikes at altitude.

Made for Company

French Bulldogs enjoy being near their people. Build up time alone gradually, and arrange company and potty breaks when you will be away for long stretches. An air-conditioned home and a predictable routine help them stay comfortable.

GETTING YOUR PUPPY HOME

Three Ways to Get Your French Bulldog Home

Most Arizona families take free ground delivery to the door, and in summer our drivers run the desert legs overnight so a flat-faced puppy never sees the afternoon heat. Prefer to fly? A flight nanny carries your Frenchie in the cabin to one of six Arizona airports, nonstop whenever possible; cargo is never used for a French Bulldog, by airline rule and ours. Either way, we set the date with you and send updates until the puppy is on your tile.

Most Popular

Ground Transport

Ground delivery is our recommendation for a Frenchie, and the Arizona run is planned around the thermometer: climate-controlled vehicle, ventilated crate, the desert crossing done after dark from May to October, short stops in the shade, and a pre-dawn or evening handoff. The puppy arrives rested at your door instead of a curb at Sky Harbor.

Pick Up at the Breeder

Want to meet your puppy before it travels? When the breeder's location and schedule make it possible, HonestPet can arrange an in-person visit before your Frenchie heads to Arizona.

Flight Nanny

A flat $799 to any Arizona airport we serve. Your Frenchie flies in a ventilated soft carrier at the nanny's feet in the cabin, the only way a French Bulldog is allowed to fly, and the nanny books a nonstop into Phoenix or Tucson so a brachycephalic puppy spends as little time in transit as possible. It also sidesteps Sky Harbor's summer heat embargo on checked pets entirely. The nanny hands the puppy to you at arrivals.

HEALTH FIRST

French Bulldog Health and Parent Screening

French Bulldogs need particular attention to breathing, heat tolerance, and spine and joint health. Parent screening and available records vary by dog; ask to review the findings for the parents of the puppy you are considering. A DNA test or veterinary exam is not a guarantee against future breathing or mobility problems, and your vet can help plan ongoing care.

Parents & puppies

Airway and Breathing

Flat-faced dogs can have narrowed nostrils and other airway problems. Ask what breathing assessments are available for the parents, and discuss your puppy's breathing with your vet. Snoring and poor exercise tolerance deserve attention rather than being dismissed as normal.

Parents & puppies

Spine and Back Health

Ask about the parents' spine-health history and any available veterinary findings. French Bulldogs can develop spinal problems; keeping them lean and using ramps instead of repeated jumps can help with daily care, but does not eliminate the risk.

Parents & puppies

Hips and Knees

Review any available hip and knee assessments for the parents with our team. Your vet can check your puppy's gait and joints and advise on suitable exercise. Do not assume every parent has had the same examinations.

Parents & puppies

Eye Health

Ask which parent eye examinations or genetic results are available. Frenchies' prominent eyes need care; contact your vet about redness, squinting, or discharge, and protect the eyes during play.

Puppies

Skin Folds and Care

Discuss skin-fold cleaning and any signs of irritation with your vet. Keep folds clean and dry, watch for itching or redness, and ask for guidance before using skin products. Short coats still need regular brushing.

Parents

Parent Health Records

Each puppy’s listing identifies the DNA testing status of both mom and dad. Ask to review available parent health and genetic records before reserving. Genetic results do not replace a clinical assessment of breathing, spine, or joint health.

Puppies

Vet Exam

Before a Frenchie leaves for Arizona, a licensed vet gives it a complete exam with the breed's trouble spots in focus: nostril width, breathing at rest and after a few minutes of play, the spine, hips and knees, and the skin folds. The vet issues the certificate of veterinary inspection required for travel into Arizona, and the exam notes, breathing included, go into the puppy's digital records for your vet in the Valley, Tucson, or Flagstaff.

Puppies

Shots, Deworming, Microchip

Core vaccines are complete for the puppy's age, and deworming has been on a schedule since the first weeks. Your Arizona vet finishes the series, including the rabies shot the state requires by 3 months, and should talk with you about Valley fever, the fungal infection in desert soil that any Arizona dog can pick up and that hits a short airway harder; keep the puppy off freshly disturbed dirt and watch for a cough. Ask about keeping the puppy lean too, because extra weight narrows a Frenchie's airway, and in this climate that margin matters. A microchip is in place before travel, and transferring it to your name is part of pickup.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

French Bulldog Puppy FAQs

Prices vary by puppy. See each available puppy’s listing for the current price, and ask our team to explain the total before reserving. Every puppy comes with a vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, digital records, lifetime training and support, and free ground delivery to your home.

Yes. Most Arizona families take free ground delivery to the door, driven overnight through the desert in summer so the puppy never meets the heat. In-cabin flight nanny delivery is also available into Phoenix Sky Harbor, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway, Tucson, Flagstaff, Prescott, and Yuma, depending on route and availability, with the puppy at the nanny's feet in the cabin. No French Bulldog ever flies as cargo.

Yes. French Bulldogs have short, smooth coats that shed, and they are not hypoallergenic. Regular brushing helps manage loose hair. If allergies are a concern, discuss the individual puppy with our team before deciding.

Our French Bulldogs typically finish between 20 and 28 pounds. Review the individual puppy’s estimated adult size and parent information with our team, and check your building's pet policy before reserving.

Your puppy comes home with a starter bag of food, a blanket that smells like their littermates, a toy, microchip details, and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Pick an available puppy then send us an inquiry. After we talk, review the current reservation amount for your puppy before placing your deposit. The deposit goes toward the total price, and the balance is due before go-home day.

Parent testing varies by breeder and by dog. Review the available DNA testing status and health records for the puppy’s mom and dad with our team, including any breathing, spine, hip, and knee assessments. Every puppy receives a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a microchip before going home. Your vet can help plan ongoing French Bulldog care; screening does not guarantee freedom from future health problems.

Each breeder may have a different preferred puppy food, so we provide the specific brand and formula your puppy is currently eating to help make the transition to your home as smooth as possible. If you decide to switch foods, we recommend transitioning gradually to help avoid digestive upset.

Our puppies go home at 8 weeks old.

THE JOURNEY HOME

How Frenchie Delivery to Arizona Works

Free ground delivery to the door, timed around the heat, is how most of our Arizona French Bulldogs arrive. Families who'd rather fly book the flight nanny, who brings the puppy in the cabin to one of six Arizona airports, carrier at their feet in cabin air and nonstop wherever one exists.

What ground delivery looks like

  1. We set the date together.Once the vet clears your puppy to travel, we schedule a delivery day and give you an arrival window.
  2. Your puppy rides with a trained handler. They travel in their own crate in a climate-controlled vehicle, with regular stops for water, food, and potty breaks.
  3. We keep you posted. Our delivery team sends updates along the way and lets you know when your puppy is getting close.
  4. We bring your puppy to your door.Your handler brings the puppy and starter bag to your door and goes over the desert rules before leaving: AC, walk times, pavement, pool. In a gated Scottsdale community or a downtown Phoenix tower they'll coordinate access in advance, and from April through October the handoff is before sunrise or after dark, because a French Bulldog should not be outdoors in Arizona at noon for any reason.
  5. Help them settle in.Have a crate, a few puppy pads, water, and their food ready so your puppy can rest after the trip.

ARIZONA QUESTIONS

Getting a French Bulldog in Arizona: Your Questions Answered

Heat, pavement, pools, altitude, county licensing, and how a flat-faced puppy travels in summer: what Arizona Frenchie families ask most.

Legally, yes. Arizona's 2016 law lets pet stores sell puppies from federally licensed breeders and wiped out the local bans Phoenix and Tempe had passed, so French Bulldogs do show up in Valley store windows, usually shipped from large Midwestern kennels where no one evaluated the parents' breathing. A store can't show you the mother or the home. HonestPet is not a pet store. We connect Arizona families directly with vetted breeders who raise Frenchies at home and share the parents' screening before you reserve.

Indoors, yes; outdoors in summer, no, and that's the whole answer. A Frenchie's flat face can't shed heat at 105, let alone 115, so from May through October the puppy lives in air conditioning, walks in the dark for ten minutes at a time, wears booties or stays on grass, and is never left in a car, a garage, or a backyard. Dry heat helps panting a little, but monsoon humidity takes that back. Families who follow those rules tell us a Frenchie is the easiest dog they've owned in Arizona, because it's perfectly happy to nap through the hot months.

Yes. Arizona requires a rabies vaccine and a county license for every dog 3 months and older: Maricopa County Animal Care and Control in the Phoenix area, Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, and county animal control elsewhere. The rabies certificate is what you'll need to apply, and spayed and neutered dogs pay a lower fee.

After you reserve, HonestPet plans the trip from the breeder's home to yours in Arizona around the calendar. The puppy gets a final vet exam with breathing checked at rest and after play, then rides in a climate-controlled delivery vehicle, with the desert legs driven overnight in summer, or in the cabin with a flight nanny on a nonstop, never in cargo. You'll have the schedule before departure and a message at each leg.

About 3 to 4 hours, depending on the breeder's location, and the nanny books a nonstop into Phoenix or Tucson because a layover is the last thing a brachycephalic puppy needs. Your Frenchie stays in a ventilated carrier at the nanny's feet in the cabin the whole way. Cargo isn't allowed for the breed, which also means Sky Harbor's summer embargo on checked pets never applies.

Sometimes. When the breeder's location and schedule permit, HonestPet can arrange a visit so you can meet the puppy and the parents and listen to how the adults breathe after they've been playing. Our breeders are spread across the country and value their privacy, so visits are arranged one family at a time rather than offered as open hours.
