Big Ears, Bigger Hearts, and a Personality That Fills Any Home
Adorable and charming, the French Bulldog has distinctive bat ears and a soul full of affection. They’re gentle with little ones (which is wonderful news for families), wonderfully adaptable, and just as happy snoozing in a city apartment as they are trotting around a backyard.
French Bulldogs are fantastic pets for both first-time dog owners and seasoned pet parents. They’ll bring warmth and love into any forever home.
What Makes French Bulldogs So Special?
- Don’t Need a Lot of Exercise: Frenchies are low-energy dogs who love short, gentle walks, making them perfect for busy households or small apartments.
- Delightfully Playful: They have a cheeky personality and love entertaining their families with silly antics. French Bulldogs truly have a big personality in a small package.
- Small Size: Typically weighing between 16 and 28 lbs, which means they’re ideal for homes of all sizes.
- Deeply Loyal Friends: French Bulldogs bond closely with their people and will follow you from room to room just to be near you.
- Great with Kids and Other Pets: They’re patient, sociable, and bring joy to families and first-time owners alike — and they’re friendly with other animals, too!
Why Hawaii Families Choose HonestPet
We founded HonestPet because pet families deserve better.
Breeders We Personally Vet
We get to know each French Bulldog breeder, their programs, shelter, and the conditions in which their dogs are nurtured. Be assured, we don’t work with puppy mills, where profit is prioritized over the welfare and humane treatment of their dogs.

Why Finding a Puppy Online Can Feel Risky
- You can’t tell a responsible breeder from a puppy mill just by looking at photos.
- Health records can be vague or impossible to verify.
- Once the puppy is home, you’re often on your own with no support or guidance.
- Surprise vet bills in the first weeks are more common than you think.
- Delivery arrangements are unclear and sometimes stressful for the puppy.
Why So Many Pet Parents Trust HonestPet
- Every breeder is personally vetted through a strict verification process.
- Full digital health records before your puppy ever ships.
- Lifetime trainer access.
- USDA-licensed delivery to your front door from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most French Bulldogs start to mellow out somewhere between 18 months and 3 years old, though every Frenchie is a little different. In the early months and during adolescence, you can expect plenty of playful energy, zoomies, and chewing. They’ll also follow you from room to room.
As they mature, that intense puppy energy usually softens into a more relaxed, easygoing temperament. They’ll still enjoy playtime and cuddles, but they’re more likely to nap between activities, focus better during training sessions, and handle their daily routines with less hyperactivity.
