THE HONESTPET DIFFERENCE

Why Florida Families Choose HonestPet

Buying a puppy online takes trust. Here's what you can count on when you work with us.

Raised in Breeders' Homes

Our breeders raise their litters in their own homes, not kennel buildings. Puppies grow up around doorbells, dishwashers, and kids underfoot, which makes the move to a Miami high-rise, a Tampa cul-de-sac, or a golf-cart community in The Villages a lot less stressful.

Handled From Day Three

Our breeders begin Early Neurological Stimulation when puppies are three days old and follow Puppy Culture practices until they’re ready to join their new families. Short, gentle daily handling helps puppies become more comfortable with new experiences as they grow.

Health-Tested Parents

Most of our puppies’ parents are DNA tested. Each puppy’s listing identifies the DNA testing status of both mom and dad, so you can review this information before choosing your puppy.

Honest Puppy Matching

We'll tell you plainly which puppy fits your life, even if it isn't the one you first fell for. A mellow pup for a condo on the Intracoastal, a bolder one for a backyard full of kids in Orlando.

A Guarantee in Writing

Every puppy comes with a 10-year genetic health guarantee and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Support for Life

Message our Care360 Team at 10 weeks or 10 years. We stay in touch with our families for the life of the dog.

STATEWIDE DELIVERY

Cavapoo Puppies Delivered Anywhere in Florida

ABOUT THE BREED

Why Cavapoos Are a Natural Fit for Florida Homes

A Cavapoo crosses a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a Poodle. The Cavalier side brings the affectionate, follow-you-from-room-to-room temperament, and the Poodle side brings the brains and a low-shedding coat that's easier to live with when the air conditioning runs ten months a year. The result is a dog sized for a beachside condo and just as happy in a suburban backyard.

Apartment-Friendly Size

Most of our Cavapoos finish between 10 and 23 pounds. That keeps the majority within the pet weight limits many Florida condo associations and 55-plus communities set, and small enough to ride along in a golf cart or on the boat.

Low-Shedding Coat

Their wavy or curly coats shed very little. No dog is fully hypoallergenic, but many people with mild allergies live comfortably with a Cavapoo.

Gentle With Kids

Cavapoos are patient and gentle, which is why so many families with young children choose them. Supervised play is still a must.

Quick to Train

Poodle smarts plus a real wish to please. Short, consistent sessions go a long way with potty training and basic manners.

Moderate Energy

Cavapoos don't need marathon exercise, which is a relief in July. A walk before the heat builds, some fetch down the hallway, and an evening stroll once the pavement cools are plenty. On cooler days they'll happily tag along to a dog-friendly beach like Fort De Soto or Jupiter.

Made for Company

Cavapoos want to be wherever you are. They're a great fit for work-from-home schedules. If you're gone 10 hours a day, plan on a dog walker.

GETTING YOUR PUPPY HOME

Three Ways to Get Your Cavapoo Home

Most Florida families go with our free ground delivery, which brings your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle. If you'd rather fly, a flight nanny can carry your puppy in the cabin to one of nine airports across Florida. Either way, our team confirms the date with you and sends updates until your puppy is in your arms.

Most Popular

Ground Transport

Ground delivery is our preferred way to bring your Cavapoo to Florida. Puppies ride in climate-controlled vehicles with regular water and potty stops along the way, which matters on a southbound trip in summer. Cavapoos are easygoing travelers, and most arrive relaxed and ready to meet their family.

Pick Up at the Breeder

Prefer to meet first? When the breeder's location and schedule line up, HonestPet can arrange an in-person visit so you can meet your puppy before delivery to Florida.

Flight Nanny

A flat $799 to any Florida airport we serve. Your puppy rides in the cabin on the nanny's lap, never in cargo, so the summer heat restrictions airlines place on checked pets don't apply. The nanny hands your puppy to you at arrivals.

Not sure which option fits? Send us a message and we'll help you sort it out.

HEALTH FIRST

Cavapoo Parent Health Screening

Cavaliers and Poodles each have known inherited health risks, which is why we’re working toward having all of our breeders complete genetic screening for the conditions most relevant to the Cavapoo breed. Testing varies by parent; ask to review available results for the parents of any puppy you’re considering.

Parents

Curly Coat / Dry Eye Syndrome

A Cavalier condition that shows up in a puppy's first weeks. Affected puppies can't make normal tears and develop a rough coat, flaky skin, and cracked, sore paw pads. It's only a risk when both parents have Cavalier ancestry, as in F2 and multigeneration Cavapoos.

Parents

Degenerative Myelopathy

A slow spinal cord disease that usually doesn't appear until later in life, often after age 8. It starts with wobbly, dragging back legs and gradually leads to hind-end weakness. It isn't painful, but there's no cure, so testing the parents is the best protection.

Parents

Episodic Falling Syndrome

Another Cavalier condition. When an affected dog gets excited, stressed, or exercises hard, its muscles stiffen and it may freeze mid-step or fall over. The dog stays fully awake through each episode. Signs usually start before the first birthday.

Parents

Neonatal Encephalopathy

A Poodle condition that affects newborns. Affected puppies are born small and weak, have trouble with balance, and often develop seizures. Because they rarely survive their first few weeks, this test is about pairing parents so no puppy is born with it.

Parents

Progressive Retinal Atrophy

One of the more common inherited conditions in Toy and Miniature Poodles. The retina slowly breaks down, starting with night blindness in adulthood and often leading to full blindness. It isn't painful and most dogs adjust well, but the vision loss can't be reversed.

Parents

von Willebrand Disease

A bleeding disorder where blood doesn't clot as well as it should. Many dogs with it live normal lives, but they can bleed longer after surgery, an injury, or losing baby teeth. Knowing the parents' results helps your vet plan ahead for spay or neuter.

Puppies

Vet Exam

Before any puppy leaves for Florida, a licensed vet gives them a full nose-to-tail exam: heart and lungs, eyes, ears, teeth, skin, and a check for hernias. The vet then issues an Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, the health certificate Florida law requires for every dog sold or brought into the state, and a copy of the exam goes into your puppy's digital records.

Puppies

Shots, Deworming, Microchip

Each puppy is current on core vaccines for their age and has been dewormed on a regular schedule since their first weeks. Your vet will finish the series, including the rabies shot Florida requires by 4 months of age. Because Florida mosquitoes and fleas are active year-round, we also recommend starting heartworm and flea prevention at your first visit. Every puppy is microchipped, and we'll help you register the chip in your name.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Cavapoo Puppy FAQs

Our Cavapoo puppies are $2,500 to $6,000, depending on size, coat, and color. The price of each puppy includes vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, a vet exam, lifetime training and support, a digital copy of their records, and free ground delivery to your home.

Yes. Most families choose free ground delivery straight to their door. Flight nanny delivery is also available to major Florida airports including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Pensacola, depending on route and availability.

While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, Cavapoos are known for their low-shedding coats and can be a good choice for some families with mild dog allergies. How much a Cavapoo sheds can vary based on their individual coat genetics and generation, with some puppies inheriting more of the Poodle’s low-shedding coat characteristics. If allergies or shedding are a concern, review each puppy’s generation and coat type, and talk with our team about which available Cavapoo may be the best fit for your family.

Most Cavapoos weigh 10 to 23 pounds and stand 9 to 14 inches tall as adults. Size depends mostly on the Poodle parent. We list an estimated adult weight for every puppy we have available.

Your puppy comes home with a starter bag of food, a blanket that smells like their littermates, a toy, microchip details, and a digital copy of their vet and vaccine records.

Pick an available puppy then send us an inquiry. After we talk, a $349 deposit holds your puppy. The balance is due before go-home day.

We’re working toward having every parent DNA tested and screened for relevant heart, knee, and eye conditions before breeding. Every puppy also receives a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a microchip before going home. Available parent health and genetic testing results can be viewed on our Parents page.

Each breeder may have a different preferred puppy food, so we provide the specific brand and formula your puppy is currently eating to help make the transition to your home as smooth as possible. If you decide to switch foods, we recommend transitioning gradually to help avoid digestive upset.

Our puppies go home at 8 weeks old.

FLORIDA QUESTIONS

Getting a Cavapoo in Florida: Your Questions Answered

The practical questions Florida families ask us most, from condo weight limits to summer heat and airport pickups.

It depends on where you live. Florida has no statewide ban, but close to 80 cities and counties, including Palm Beach, Orange, and Pasco counties and cities like St. Petersburg, prohibit pet stores from selling dogs. HonestPet is not a pet store. We connect Florida families with puppies from vetted home breeders, share clear information about each puppy's parents, and deliver every puppy with the Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection that Florida's pet sale law requires.

For most people, yes. Cavapoos are small, fairly quiet, and don't need a yard, which suits a condo in Miami as well as a villa in a 55-plus community. Check your association's pet rules first, since many Florida condos and HOAs set weight limits, often 20 to 25 pounds, or cap the number of pets per unit. Most Cavapoos land inside those limits, and we can point you toward a litter whose parents are on the smaller side if your building is strict.

Florida doesn't issue a statewide dog license, but most counties require their own. Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Orange, and Duval, among others, require a county license tag once your dog has the rabies vaccine, which Florida law requires by 4 months of age. Many Florida vets can issue the county tag at the same visit, or you can apply through your county's animal services office.

Once you reserve your puppy, HonestPet coordinates the trip from the breeder's home to yours. Your puppy gets a final vet exam and Florida's required health certificate before departure, then travels either by climate-controlled ground delivery to your door or in the cabin with a flight nanny to your nearest Florida airport. Our team confirms the schedule with you and sends updates along the way.

Most flights run 2 to 3 hours, depending on where the breeder is located and which Florida airport you choose. Your puppy stays with the flight nanny the entire time and rides in the cabin, never as checked baggage or cargo.

Sometimes, yes. When the breeder's location and schedule allow, HonestPet can set up an in-person visit so you can meet your puppy before delivery. Because our breeders are located in different areas and we protect their privacy, visits are arranged one family at a time rather than offered as open appointments.
